Happy Valentines Day!

I really don't like Valentines Day!! It was great when I was younger and got to make a cool valentine holder out of a shoe box but now, blah!  I worked at Cookies By Design all through high school decorating cookies and I seem to go back every year to helpl.  It is the biggest holiday for them therefore, LOTS of cookies to decorate.  I worked every night this past week to help out and man am I glad that it is over.

Valentine's Day happenings: First off, my dad is in town! Yay, we are glad you came dad! I worked all day on Saturday (I was hoping to get off early but it just didn't happen, imagine that?!) and then we met dad at El Farols!! If those of you who live in Utah have not been to this mexican restaurant, YOU HAVE TO GO! It is on 7200 South and State Street in Midvale.  When (and I mean WHEN you go)...you have to get the 1/2 and 1/2 plate appetizer! The meal was delicious, thanks dad! We then went and messed around Target, didn't buy anything but got some really good ideas! After stopping by the grocery store and Arctic Circle for a chocolate topper, dad and I made his famous Deviled Eggs.

Sunday we attended my cousin, Matthew's, homecoming.  He is home after 2 years of faithful service in the Dominican Republic.  It was great to see all the family and to talk to everyone.

Lastly (ha ha, that one is for you MOM), I do have to say I LOVE YOU Kevin! Thank you for painting the WHOLE bedroom for me!

I hope everyone is doing well.  We love you all!

Ahhh, I remember the days of John going to surfaces.....I hated it. Just him being gone. Well actually he hated it too. He was really happy when they quit going. But I am glad your dad was in town sounds like you had a nice weekend.

Late HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! I made and sent 23 Valentines; for all my grandkids and for my dad. When Warren asked me if I sent them to my kids and their spouses too, I just about dropped from exhaustion. Of course I love you all so much, but it took me hours to make the ones I did (actually about four hours on each of two days). But for sure, I love you both soooo much!

I agree, Valentines day is way over rated. And the women that depend on that day to get a little something special are married to the wrong men. The best gifts are the ones that are neither asked for or expected, Like flowers on Thursday because it was sunny and you just needed to share the warmth with your loved one.
